Search engine giant Google recently deleted a total of 16 malicious apps from the Play Store. The Google Play Store has released 11 apps in July this year and the remaining 6 in September. The apps were all infected with malware and could do harm if it was on your smartphone. But now nothing can be found or downloaded from the Play Store.

Of the 16 apps released from the Play Store, all were infected with malware called Joker. The Play Store's research team found out about the authenticity of the apps in July this year, although the research team has been monitoring the apps since 2016. After 11 apps were deleted from the Play Store in July, the remaining 6 apps came to the Play Store with Joker malware. But now those 6 apps have also been deleted. By the way, those 8 apps have been downloaded 2 million times before they were deleted from the Play Store.

The Joker malware used a robot to harm apps, called fleeceware. This malware used to take clicks while using the app and prevent the user from getting the message of the app. As a result, the premium service of the app would have been launched without the knowledge of the user. In that case the user's money would also be wasted. According to the Play Store, the Joker malware used some code for which no trace could be found. That's why it took a while to find the malware.

Let's take a look at the list of 16 apps deleted from the Play Store:

Safety AppLock

Convenient Scanner 2

Push Message- Texting & SMS

Emoji Wallpaper

Separate doc scanner

Fingertip GameBox

The 17 malicious apps mentioned have already been deleted from the Play Store. But if you have one of these apps on your smartphone, uninstall it immediately and keep your smartphone safe.
