Australian electric bike company EMoS recently launched their new electric cruiser bike WYLD. The bike will go on sale in the Australian market in the next few days and is priced at 2,999 AUD, which is around Rs 1.81 lakh in Indian currency.

The new WYLD electric cruiser motorcycle will be added to the company's personal transport lineup. The top speed of the new bike is going to be 50 KM / h, which means that in some countries this bike can be ridden without a license. This new bike is styled like a conventional cruiser.

On the front you will find hanger handlebars, relax riding position, thick 16 inch tires, wide front and rear fender, solo saddle and forward mounted food peg. You will get the option of three different electric motors of this cruiser motorbike 1.5 kw, 2 kw, and 3 kw. Here you get a 60 volt lithium ion battery and three different sizes (12 Ah, 20 Ah, and 30 Ah).

This electric motor can carry a maximum torque of 95 Nm and has a maximum range of 90 km. It will take you 5 hours to fully charge this battery once. This bike weighs only 72 kilograms and this bike can lift a maximum of 200 kilograms.

Very exciting to see the new electric cruiser. Unfortunately, this bike is not coming to India. However, EMoS is discussing whether to bring any other such bike to India. Because the demand for electric vehicles in India is increasing day by day.

Cornell scientists are seeking to construct a potential exactly where electric powered motor vehicle homeowners can demand their autos wirelessly without the need of halting. We have witnessed concepts for “plugless EV charging” in the past, but this normally takes charging to a diverse amount.

One particular of the greatest roadblocks for EVs suitable now is charging. A latest report indicates that 1 in 5 electric powered homeowners in California swap again to gas mainly because discovering and ready for chargers is a trouble and likely perilous.

Nevertheless, scientists at Cornell University have developed engineering that could change our streets into wireless chargers. It is a technique where by drivers only require to improve lanes to major off the battery.

Cornell Electrical and Personal computer Engineer Khurram Afridi has invested the last 7 several years doing work on the tech and wishes to put wireless charging lanes on the highway. Like tollways, you could travel into a charging lane, refill the juice, and pay out for it all simultaneously. That, or get a invoice later if you didn’t shell out your charging toll.

This is not just for electric powered motor vehicles, possibly. Cornell’s engineers say this can operate with electrical automobiles, autonomous forklifts, and other cell machines, all even though they continue to be in movement.

Afridi and his crew are employing an notion that’s in excess of 100 yrs previous from Nikola Tesla. Mainly, making a charging program that would use two insulated steel plates on the floor and a high-frequency inverter to create oscillating electrical fields. Then, EV cars and trucks can attract and repel individuals prices with equivalent steel plates beneath the vehicle. Alternatively of a magnetic charging subject, which is a closed-loop, this is an open-finished procedure that works while the obtaining device is however in movement heading via the electrical fields.

Neat, proper? Naturally, a venture like this would have to have federal government and state acceptance, not to mention tens of millions of dollars invested into highway and freeway updates. Having said that, Afridi sees this as a way to develop infrastructure to match the engineering obtainable currently and in the potential.
