Amazfit GTR 2 is coming to India with 14 days battery backup, pre-booking has started

Although the Amazfit GTR 2 is scheduled to launch in India on December 16, pre-orders for this flagship smartwatch have already started. It is now being booked on the official website of Amazfit India. Available in Sports and Classic Editions, the Amazfit GTR 2 is now available for free with an extra strap. The special features of the smartwatch include battery live up to 14 days, heart rate and sleep monitoring, Bluetooth call function, online (Alexa) and offline voice assistant.

Price and availability of Amazfit GTR 2

The Amazfit GTR Classic Edition will cost Rs 12,999. On the other hand, it costs Rs 13,499 to buy a Sports Edition. It will be available in Obsidian Black color option on Amazfit India’s website and Flipkart. Even if you pre-order now, its shipping will start from the launch date i.e. 16th December. The difference between the Classic Edition and the Sport Edition, of course, is nothing special. The first body is made of aluminum alloy and the second body is made of stainless steel.

Specification of Amazfit GTR 2

The Amazfit GTR 2 comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with an always-on feature. Its pixel density is 326 ppi and resolution is 454×454 pixels. The top of the display has an anti-fingerprint coating. More than 50 watch faces are available here. Besides, you have the advantage of choosing your favorite picture as a watch face.

Amazfit has given Huami’s BioTracker 2 PPG bio-tracking optical sensor in this smartwatch for 24 hours heart rate monitoring. This watch will also send a vibration alert to the user if it detects abnormal heartbeat compared to the recommended heart rate during physical exercise. As a result, the user can be careful and avoid the risks associated with exercise. This smartwatch can also be used to measure blood oxygen levels, sleep quality and stress levels. The smartwatch also has Huami’s PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) health assessment system.

Multiple sensors have been provided in the smartwatch to track the movement. For example, it will have three-axis geomagnetic sensor, gyroscope, air pressure sensor, and ambient light sensor. The smartwatch has 12 sports moods in-built like outdoor running, walking, indoor cycling, swimming, free training, outdoor cycling. With the 5ATM rating added, it will be able to operate intact in water depths up to 50 meters. The smartwatch comes with a 481 mAh high capacity battery that will back up to 14 days of normal use.

The Amazfit GTR2 smartwatch can be connected to both Android and iOS devices via the Zepp app using Bluetooth. However, in this case, it should be noted that the operating system version of the device should be on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and iOS 10. WiFi, GPS and NFC features are also available here. The Amazfit GTR 2 has a microphone and speakers, so the user can answer calls coming to the smartphone through the smartwatch.
