FC Porto vs Liverpool LIVE! Champions League match stream, latest team news, lineups, TV, prediction today

The Reds currently sit top of Group B after coming from behind to beat AC Milan in a thrilling five-goal contest on matchday one.

The early Premier League leaders will be favourites to make that successive wins tonight, though Jurgen Klopp wants to see a swift improvement in his side’s defending after that opening clash and a wild 3-3 draw at Brentford on Saturday.

Liverpool have won 5-0 and 4-1 in Porto over recent years, though the hosts – who already trail rivals Benfica by four points domestically – did hold Atletico Madrid to a goalless draw a fortnight ago despite being reduced to 10 men late on.

Tonight Liverpool will pay tribute to club legend and England 1966 World Cup winner Roger Hunt, who has died at the age of 83.

The players will wear black armbands in tribute to Hunt, who notched a record 244 league goals during a memorable 11-year spell on Merseyside.

Roger Hunt tributes

Liverpool’s players will wear black armbands in Porto tonight in tribute to the late, great Roger Hunt, who has died at the age of 83.

The England 1966 World Cup winner remains the club’s all-time leading league goalscorer, notching 244 in a prolific 11-year stint between 1958-69.

Only Ian Rush has bettered his total Liverpool haul of 286, while Mo Salah recently became the only player to reach a century faster – in one fewer game (151).

Hunt – Liverpool’s top scorer in eight successive seasons – won two First Division titles and the FA Cup at Anfield before joining Bolton.

Liverpool have been solid in defence this season before they were given a real going over by Brentford.

However, normal service will be resumed in Portugal with the Reds extending their unbeaten record against Porto.

Porto have notable defensive issues ahead of Liverpool’s visit, with head coach Sergio Conceicao set to make a late call on the fitness of Pepe, who remains a key player at the age of 38.

Meanwhile, ex-Newcastle centre-back Chancel Mbemba is suspended after his late sending off against Atletico on matchday one.

Liverpool team news: Keita back fit

Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns tonight, with Naby Keita back fit after missing Saturday evening’s wild 3-3 draw at Brentford with a foot injury sustained in the Carabao Cup win over Norwich.

Neco Williams is also recovered from injury, but Harvey Elliott (ankle) and Thiago Alcantara (thigh) remain sidelined.

Jurgen Klopp may be tempted to make changes this evening with Manchester City the visitors to Anfield in a key Premier League showdown on Sunday afternoon.

Welcome to FC Porto vs Liverpool LIVE

The Champions League returns this week with some high-profile encounters on matchday two.

Our focus here is on events at the Estadio do Dragao in Portugal, where early Premier League leaders Liverpool will be favourites to make it two wins out of two at the summit of Group B after their thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over AC Milan a fortnight ago.

The Reds have notched up some big scorelines on this ground over recent seasons, 5-0 and 4-1, though FC Porto showed great defensive mettle to earn a goalless draw at Atletico Madrid on matchday one despite being reduced to 10 men late on.

Tonight Liverpool will remember the great Roger Hunt, whose death at the age of 83 was confirmed this afternoon.

Hunt is Liverpool’s all-time leading league goalscorer and famously was part of England’s 1966 World Cup-winning side.
