Gaming without damaging the eyes, Samsung unveiled the curved monitor Odyssey

Little do we know that the gaming experience on a curved monitor is much more enjoyable than on a normal monitor. As the pressure on the eyes decreases, the vision expands. As a result, one can get stuck inside the game and without any damage to the eyes! This is exactly why South Korean tech giant Samsung launched two curved gaming monitors in India. The two Odyssey G9 and Odyssey G7 monitors are available in 49-inch and 32-inch and 26-inch screen sizes, respectively.

Samsung’s Odyssey series monitors have been launched with a 1000 mm curvature radius, which is quite comfortable for the human eye. Samsung claims that these are the world’s first 1000R monitors. According to them, these monitors have a display with 1 ms response time and 240 Hz refresh rate. They also said that this is the first dual-quad high definition (DQHD) monitor in the world. This monitor will support QLED picture quality. Monitors are also available with Nvidia G-Sync and DP1.4 Adaptive Sync utilities.

Specification of Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor

This monitor from Samsung is a dual-quad high definition gaming monitor with a pixel resolution of 5120 x 1440. The monitor has a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. The aspect ratio of its display is 32: 9. It comes with 1000R curvature and 1000cd / m2 peak brightness. The monitor also uses Quantum Dot technology HDR1000 VA panel.

Specification of Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor

The Odyssey G9 is no different with this monitor in terms of quality and performance. Only in terms of screen size, it is slightly smaller than the Odyssey G9. There are two options available in the market with 32-inch and 26-inch screens.

This monitor also comes with 240 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time. Its deep curved QHD display has a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440. Besides, its aspect ratio is 18: 9. The monitor has HDR600 VA panel and 800 cd / m2 peak brightness support.

When will it be available in India and the price?

Indian buyers can bring this monitor home very soon. It can be pre-booked in India from November 25 to December 31. They are priced from Rs 49,000 to Rs 1,99,000.
