Almost all of you know that short messaging platform WhatsApp, in addition to the mobile app, allows chatting through the web version on the desktop. But in the web version of WhatsApp or the desktop app, not all the features of the mobile app are available. As a result, users have to read a little uncomfortable. However, there is no reason to worry, the messaging medium controlled by Facebook has taken to the field to fill the gaps of the desktop app. According to reports, WhatsApp will soon be bringing voice and video calling benefits for desktop applications, which have not been available for this version for so long.
Recently, Alex Horn, an American technology editor, shared a screenshot on Twitter. In that screenshot, there are two new buttons for voice and video calls in WhatsApp’s desktop application. However, both buttons have a ‘beta’ tag, which means that WhatsApp is still experimenting with this new feature. So you have to wait a few more days to enjoy the benefits of voice and video calling for the stable or normal users of WhatsApp’s desktop application.
Meanwhile, a month and a half ago, the news portal WABetaInfo informed about WhatsApp, from now on, WhatsApp web users will also be able to make voice and video calling from their computer version. At that moment, WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot where the voice and video calling buttons were visible next to the contact’s name, similar to Alex Horn’s recently shared screenshot. It was learned that voice and video calling options will also be available in various WhatsApp groups.
According to WABetaInfo, beta users of the WhatsApp web will be able to take advantage of voice and video calls in the coming weeks. However, no information has been found about when this update will come in the stable version. However, there is no doubt that this new feature is a big update for the web version of WhatsApp and the desktop app!
