Launch is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor, will be available on Mi 11 and Realme Race phones

On the first day of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020 digital event yesterday, Qualcomm unveiled their most powerful next-generation flagship system on chip (SOC), the Snapdragon 8. Incidentally, it has been rumored for so long that it will be launched under the name Snapdragon 65. The Snapdragon 888 5G chipset built on 5 nm fabrication process will have 1 + 3 + 4 CPU core arrangement. This tri-cluster CPU configuration includes an X1 high-performance core at 2.64 GHz clockspeed, three Cortex-A78 cores with 2.42 GHz speed, and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz. This chipset will have Adreno 660 as GPU.

This chipset will have a third generation Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 5G modem. Which will offer both the Five G Millimeter Wave and the sub 8 GHz Five G band worldwide. The modem will also support Global Multi SIM, Five G Carrier Aggression, Five G Stand-Alone, Five G Non-Stand-Alone, Dynamic Spectrum Sharing. Qualcomm also names OEMs or original equipment manufacturers who will use the Snapdragon 8 chipset in their upcoming flagship phones. These are: Asus, Black Shark, Lenovo, Lg, Meizu, Motorola, Nubia, Realme, Oppo, Sharp, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE. Let’s find out which flagship phone is the first to be brought with this chipset.

Xiaomi Mi 11 series

Leo Jun, co-founder and CEO of Shaomi, was present at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020. There he announced that the MI 11 series would be launched with the Snapdragon 8 chipset. Note that Qualcomm’s flagship chipset Snapdragon 85 was launched at this event last year. And from one stage, Xiaomi also announced its flagship phone Mi 10. As a result, it was expected that something similar would happen this year.

Xiaomi, however, did not give any hint about the specifications of the phone. However, courtesy of Tipstars, we have already come across some information about the two phones in this series, Mi 11 and Mi Pro. For example, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will have MEMC support, real-time SDR to HDR and super resolution features. This phone will use Quad HD Plus display with hole punch and curved edge. Again, the refresh rate of the display will be 120 Hz. On the other hand, the Mi 11 phone can have 100 watt fast charging support. Where Mi 11 Pro can come with 120 watt fast charging support.

Oppo Find X3 series

Oppo said in a press release that the Find X series, which will be launched in the first quarter of next year, will have Snapdragon 8 chipset. Note that a few weeks ago, Oppo released some information about the Find X3 series of phones, such as – it will support end-to-end 10 bit color. The series will also feature the company’s new full-path color management system.

Realme Race

Realmy is set to launch a flagship phone codenamed Race, powered by Snapdragon 8 chipset, next year. However, Realmy did not say anything about the features or specifications of this phone. However, the screenshot of the render and about phone page of the phone has already been leaked online. Accordingly, this phone will have 12 GB RAM and 256 GB onboard storage. It will run on Android 11 based Realm UI 2.0. This phone will have a quad camera setup with Orio style bump.
