More secure Hero bikes or scooters, Hero Connect will provide safety and driving reports

Cloud based connectivity solutions are no longer limited to flagship bikes. This two-wheeler commuter also has this smart connectivity feature. Among the two-wheeler manufacturers in India, Bajaj has yet to launch a smartphone connectivity system. But sometimes Bajaj trademarked the name Neuron. Then the buzz started, Bajaj is starting work on the smartphone connectivity feature. TVS, Hero and Royal Enfield remained. TVS offers Bluetooth connectivity systems called SmartXonnect and Hero Connect. Royal Enfield, on the other hand, recently launched the Meteor 350 series with Tripper navigation system.

According to Hero Connect, it can be purchased as an accessory with an annual subscription charge of Rs 4,999. However, this is an initial offer. At the end of the offer period, you will have to spend Rs 8,499 to get the experience of smart riding. This smart connectivity system is now available on Hero Xpulse 200 bikes and Destiny 125 and Pleasure Plus scooters. The service is currently available in 11 cities across India. Namely- Kolkata, Jaipur, Guwahati, Lucknow, Dehradun, Indore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune, Bangalore, and Dehradun.

With the Hero Connect app, drivers will be able to access the Safety and Security features and access driving reports. First of all, let’s talk about the safety feature. If there is an accident or the bike falls, the system will detect it and immediately send an SMS to the registered number and emergency contact.

The driving report contains trip analysis, driving score and speed alert. Data on how far you have traveled in the last six months, how long it has taken, or which route you have taken, will be available through Trip Analysis. The driving score is a lot like a marksheet. These driving scores are given based on how well the bike is run and the rules. On the other hand, a certain speed limit can be set on bikes or scooters. If you drive at a higher speed, speed alert will come. Hero Connect’s security features include live tracking, theft alert, geo-fencing alert and hero locate. These are also quite effective in preventing theft. Real-time location data for the bike will also be available as a result of having GPS integrated.

However, although this smart connectivity system is now available in some of the Hero models, it is expected that in the future Hero will bring this feature for the rest of its two-wheelers as well.
